Send us one story of up to 5000 words and/or up to three (3) poems. Include your name, address, phone number, high school, and grade level in the body of your email and in the upper left corner of your attached Word document.

  • Double-space fiction entries

  • Send poems in a single document

  • Work should not have been previously published in print or online

Email entries to roanokacreativewriting@gmail.com or submit through submittable. Deadline for all submissions is January 31, 2024.

Winning entries and honorable mentions will be published online in a special issue of Roanoke Review. Winners (first, second, and third place) will be eligible for scholarships if they apply to Roanoke College. Results will be announced April 2024.
